While most of the country is experiencing freezing temperatures and snowy conditions, I’m here enjoying winter on Miami Beach. What is winter on Miami Beach you ask? It’s warm tropical breezes, mojitos on the sidewalk cafes, and basically every tourist is here trying to stay warm. Sure the palm trees and warm weather doesn’t make it feel like the holiday season, but Santa still visits us whether we have snow or sand on the ground. I prefer the sand though.

The Breakwater Hotel
As resident photographer for South Florida’s premier event staffing and needs company, Miami Elite Events, not only do I get to photograph the talent that works for them, but I also get to photograph venues as well. I recently went down to South Beach to photograph the Breakwater Hotel and its rooftop patio area and adjoining suites. Nothing like having VIP access to a beautiful Ocean Drive hotel rooftop all to myself.
Bowling For Barack
Earlier this week I was contacted by Blythe Robinson to photograph the Bowling For Barack event at the Lucky Strikes Bowling Alley in Miami Beach. I agreed to volunteer my time and photograph the event. I figured it would be a great opportunity to rub elbows and network a little.
A South Beach Engagement Shoot
Today’s post is from the photo shoot I had on Labor Day in South Beach for Seth and Yulia. They were down from Virginia on their honeymoon and wanted to get some photos in before they took their honeymoon cruise. What better place to take some photos than on South Beach?
South Beach at Night
I was in one of my moods to just go out and walk around for hours and just photograph whatever I found interesting. Where else than South Beach at night would be a great opportunity to see some interesting sights to photograph? South Beach offers so much visually and what I enjoy is that I can walk around and in a relative short amount of time I can be on one side of South Beach and then walk across to the other. Besides South Beach always has a new story to tell every time I’m there.
Summer Engagement Shoot On South Beach
Today I feature another out of town couple, Ale and Alberto. They’re a loving couple from Dallas, Texas via Houston (long story). They arrived to South Beach for a little getaway and who can blame them? We have paradise here in Miami.
A Miami Beach Portrait Session
I know it’s been a while since I’ve done a blog post in a while, but I’m back! I bring you a photo shoot I did with Suraya. This was sort of like a high school reunion of sort. Suraya and myself both went to Miramar High School together and graduated in ’97. Yes that long ago lol
South Beach Maternity Shoot
Taking photos is difficult enough but trying to take maternity photos in the middle of summer in Miami is just brutal; however, Kia and Hayward were up for the task. The humidity was no joke that day. Thank God I suggested we shoot around 6:30 in the evening. I don’t even want to begin to think what a midday shoot in that sun would be like.
An Engagement Session on South Beach
I was lucky enough to shoot an engagement shoot for one of my favorite couples, Alex and Hayley. I always enjoy watching these two interact because they’re always happy, smiling or laughing. They compliment each other so well and they’re always on the same page. I was beyond excited when they asked me to photograph their wedding. You can’t help but admire the love these two have for each other.
