When you think about visiting Old San Juan, you think of the vibrant colored homes on the cobblestone streets from the Spanish colonial era, but the true wonders are found in the the forts of Old San Juan. Specifically the two famous forts on the island, Castillo San Felipe del Morro aka El Morro and Castillio San Cristobal. These two relics still stand tall and allow visitors a glimpse into the past of Puerto Rico, specifically San Juan.

Visiting Old San Juan
Since my wife is a wedding planner we get to travel for destination weddings and events. When I found out that we were going to Puerto Rico for a wedding, all I could think about was walking through the streets of Old San Juan. It’s been a bucket list item for me and I will say this, Old San Juan did not disappoint. Not one bit.
Exploring the Arenal Volcano in Costa Rica
Costa Rica is a paradise and one of my favorite places to visit. I had my first Costa Rica adventure back in 2014 and loved it so much that I ended up getting married in Costa Rica. For my third trip to this amazing Central American country we went exploring the Arenal Volcano and its surrounding areas.
Christmas Time in New York City
Christmas time in New York City is magical. The Rockefeller Christmas tree, all the store decorations. The entire city feels alive. There is nothing like Christmas time in New York City. If you haven’t experienced it, it is a must add to your bucket list.
Hotel Villa Caletas – Costa Rica’s Hidden Gem
Nestled atop a mountain surrounded by the lush, tropical rainforests of Costa Rica lays a hidden gem of this Central American country: Hotel Villa Caletas. Hotel Villa Caletas is a stone’s throw away from one of Costa Rica’s surfing capitals, Jaco. If waking up to the call of exotic birds and animals as well as seeing some of the most spectacular sunset destinations in the world, then you need to give Hotel Villa Caletas a try.
Cruising on the Disney Magic to Castaway Cay
When my wife told me she booked us on a Disney cruise to the Bahamas I was a little apprehensive at first. A Disney cruise filled with screaming kids is what I pictured in my mind, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Cruising on the Disney Magic was truly a magical experience and I’m so ready to book our next Disney cruise.
My Costa Rica Adventure
It has always been a dream of mine to visit Costa Rica and when I was able to make that dream a reality, I was blown away at how much better reality was than compared to my dreams. Costa Rica was beyond amazing and the beauty of the country was simply breath taking and exquisite. A week may not have been long enough to take in the vastness of the volcano ranges or the ample rainforests to explore, but I sure packed in a week of amazing activities and sight seeing.
Winter on Miami Beach
While most of the country is experiencing freezing temperatures and snowy conditions, I’m here enjoying winter on Miami Beach. What is winter on Miami Beach you ask? It’s warm tropical breezes, mojitos on the sidewalk cafes, and basically every tourist is here trying to stay warm. Sure the palm trees and warm weather doesn’t make it feel like the holiday season, but Santa still visits us whether we have snow or sand on the ground. I prefer the sand though.
The Breakwater Hotel
As resident photographer for South Florida’s premier event staffing and needs company, Miami Elite Events, not only do I get to photograph the talent that works for them, but I also get to photograph venues as well. I recently went down to South Beach to photograph the Breakwater Hotel and its rooftop patio area and adjoining suites. Nothing like having VIP access to a beautiful Ocean Drive hotel rooftop all to myself.
