When a client hires you for a commercial photography assignment it goes either two ways for me. One would be where the client constantly changes their mind about what they’re looking for, the direction etc. and it’s a battle trying to get the shots they want because they don’t know what they want. The second would be like CKO Kickboxing where in their brief they had the location, the shot list, samples of the look they wanted and all the models were on time and ready to go when I arrived. When the client is this well prepared it makes any photographer’s job easy. All I had to do was show up and shoot the brief that was provided.
For the past year I’ve been contracted by the City of Coral Gables, FL to photograph events and landmarks around the city for their new website and promotional items. I’ve photographed everything from bridal portraits at bridal boutiques on Miracle Mile to the numerous city parks and even events in the city such as Carnival on the Mile. Working for the City of Coral Gables has allowed me to discover the city in a way in which I never knew before. Best part is that I get to photograph my discovery and see my work in their promotional print material as well as online with their website and social media.
When my wife told me she booked us on a Disney cruise to the Bahamas I was a little apprehensive at first. A Disney cruise filled with screaming kids is what I pictured in my mind, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Cruising on the Disney Magic was truly a magical experience and I’m so ready to book our next Disney cruise.
