While most of the country is experiencing freezing temperatures and snowy conditions, I’m here enjoying winter on Miami Beach. What is winter on Miami Beach you ask? It’s warm tropical breezes, mojitos on the sidewalk cafes, and basically every tourist is here trying to stay warm. Sure the palm trees and warm weather doesn’t make it feel like the holiday season, but Santa still visits us whether we have snow or sand on the ground. I prefer the sand though.

South Beach Maternity Shoot
Taking photos is difficult enough but trying to take maternity photos in the middle of summer in Miami is just brutal; however, Kia and Hayward were up for the task. The humidity was no joke that day. Thank God I suggested we shoot around 6:30 in the evening. I don’t even want to begin to think what a midday shoot in that sun would be like.
An Engagement Session on South Beach
I was lucky enough to shoot an engagement shoot for one of my favorite couples, Alex and Hayley. I always enjoy watching these two interact because they’re always happy, smiling or laughing. They compliment each other so well and they’re always on the same page. I was beyond excited when they asked me to photograph their wedding. You can’t help but admire the love these two have for each other.
Ocean Drive Photo Shoot
When a DJ asks for photos for promotional purposes of course an Ocean Drive photo shoot is the first thing that pops in my head. South Beach is home to numerous nightclubs and bars and not to mention mecca of who’s who in the world of djing to come spin. South Beach is also lined with colorful Art Deco inspired buildings which proved to be a great back drop for Dean’s, aka The Silver Foxx, Ocean Drive photo shoot.
