Midtown Miami Engagement Session

**WARNING** If you don’t like to see two people clearly in love enjoying each other’s company and kissing each other every chance they get, then this blog post is not for you. So how does one have a bright, sunny day when there are clouds everywhere? The answer is hang out with Dean and Jenean aka The Foxxes. Now you ask why are they called the Foxxes and the answer is because Dean is a DJ known as The Silver Foxx, so hence the moniker the Foxxes. If you ever wanted to see two people who were made for each other, these two are them. Always so lovey dovey with each other it would make a single person want to drown their loneliness in a gallon of Haggen Daz ice cream. Ok, maybe not a gallon more like a pint but still sometimes those two just need to get a room hahahahahhaha

For their engagement photo shoot I had it all planned out. We would shoot around their home in Midtown Miami and then head to Key Biscayne to finish it off. Unfortunately the weather did not want to cooperate and we were forced to shoot in Midtown only. As I said prior, hanging around these two, every day is sunny and nothing gets them down.

They wanted to shoot at a fountain in Midtown, so that was our first stop. I wouldn’t say the Foxxes were camera shy but they sure did spend a lot of time looking at each other and not the camera. You would think they’re lips had magnet in them that only worked on each other. If they weren’t kissing they were making each other laugh with crazy faces or other things. For me, I just captured them interacting with each other. It really didn’t get any better than that. I had some blurry photos from laughing at what they were doing. Those are the best kind of shoots.

I did run into some adversity though. I was shooting the Foxxes in a parking garage window while I was down on the street below and the Midtown security came by and asked what I was doing. And me being a natural smart ass had a sarcastic response for him. He then informed me that I needed a permit to shoot in Midtown because of this and that. I thanked him for the info and he was on his way. I only got harassed because I had a Nikon D300 with a Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 lens attached to it. If I had a pocket camera it would not have been a problem.

I got some great shots of these two and I can’t wait for their wedding on April 30th. And since we shot their engagement photos on a Wednesday there was only one place for us to celebrate, Montaditos in Midtown where everything on their menu is a $1 on Wednesday only. Nothing says Wednesday like Montaditos beer and reciting “Step Brothers” movie quotes with great people. Did we just have a great photo shoot? Yup. Stay golden Ponyboy…..

Do you see what I mean about their lips being magnets?

When Dean is with Jenean he doesn’t walk, he skips the way his heart did when he first saw her.

The theme for this shoot was kiss and kiss often.
