Costa Rica is a paradise and one of my favorite places to visit. I had my first Costa Rica adventure back in 2014 and loved it so much that I ended up getting married in Costa Rica. For my third trip to this amazing Central American country we went exploring the Arenal Volcano and its surrounding areas.
Christmas time in New York City is magical. The Rockefeller Christmas tree, all the store decorations. The entire city feels alive. There is nothing like Christmas time in New York City. If you haven’t experienced it, it is a must add to your bucket list.
There was a time when I drank the kool-aid. Bought into the notion that going to school, having a career and working for great companies; that was how life was supposed to be. Get married, buy a house, make car payments. You know the way we were taught in school from an early age to believe that is how we became happy. The American dream. We were told happiness was found in material things and social and economic status. It wasn’t until I found what made me happy that I realized happiness can’t be quantified in the number of cars owned or by what designer clothing we all had to have.
Nestled atop a mountain surrounded by the lush, tropical rainforests of Costa Rica lays a hidden gem of this Central American country: Hotel Villa Caletas. Hotel Villa Caletas is a stone’s throw away from one of Costa Rica’s surfing capitals, Jaco. If waking up to the call of exotic birds and animals as well as seeing some of the most spectacular sunset destinations in the world, then you need to give Hotel Villa Caletas a try.
When my wife told me she booked us on a Disney cruise to the Bahamas I was a little apprehensive at first. A Disney cruise filled with screaming kids is what I pictured in my mind, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Cruising on the Disney Magic was truly a magical experience and I’m so ready to book our next Disney cruise.
It has always been a dream of mine to visit Costa Rica and when I was able to make that dream a reality, I was blown away at how much better reality was than compared to my dreams. Costa Rica was beyond amazing and the beauty of the country was simply breath taking and exquisite. A week may not have been long enough to take in the vastness of the volcano ranges or the ample rainforests to explore, but I sure packed in a week of amazing activities and sight seeing.
Going to see the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has been a lifetime dream of mine. I would spend every Thanksgiving morning watching the parade on TV, secretly wishing I was there to witness it first hand. And then one day I went and it was all worth the wait. Bucket list item check!
Walking around Boston is a gold mine for street photography. The old history of Boston mixed with the new development is perfect for urban exploration. With accessible transportation and easy to walk streets, you have the resources necessary to take a day and wander around the city.
For a travel photographer like myself, spending a weekend in New York City is a dream come true. Hell, for any type of photographer for that matter. New York City has a plethora of amazing locales to photograph. And it never hurts that the city never sleeps; there is always something going on.
