Today I decided to check out the The Cloisters of the Ancient Spanish Monastery down in North Miami Beach. I was surfing online one day and stumbled upon the website for it. The history of the Monastery was that it was built in Sacramenia, Spain back between 1133-1144 and that in 1925 it was purchased by an American, William Randolph Hearst, who had it disassembled stone by stone and brought over here where it was pieced back together. Today it is a museum of sorts and an active Episcopalian church, St.Bernard’s Church. Many of the relics, statues, altars, paintings, at the Monastery were from the original site and are about 800 years old.
