If you never went bike riding in Shark Valley, then you need to add that to your bucket list. Bike riding in Shark Valley in the Florida Everglades is truly an amazing experience. The bike trail is 15 miles long, but those 15 miles are filled with alligators just a few feet away as well as some of the most amazing wading birds the Everglades has to offer.
What better way to spend a Sunday than biking 10 miles through Shark Valley and then spending the rest of the day hanging out in the Everglades? Of course it’s always better when your partner in crime joins you and provides video play by play of what is going on. After spending nearly 5 hours on a boat in the Everglades last week in search of wildlife such as alligators and great landscape photos of the Everglades and coming up basically empty, I decided to try another approach. I got up on Saturday morning and with my better half, we traveled across I-75 aka Alligator Alley on our way to Big Cypress National Preserve. I figured why just go on the outskirts of the Everglades when we can go into the heart of the Everglades.
